Just came across this VERY interesting Video and wanted to share it with everyone. This video was put together by Erik Qualman and shows how much of an impact Social Media is having now but more importantly for ‘Marketers’ how important it is going to be in the future. Erik the online marketer and author of the upcoming book Socialnomics has put together a fantastic video comprised of more than 30 different stats about the growth of social media.

While you may be familiar with some of the stats, there were a bunch of new and intriguing ones, including:

1 out of 8 couples married in the U.S. last year met via social media

If you were paid a $1 for every time an article was posted on Wikipedia you would earn $156.23 per hour

25% of search results for the World’s Top 20 largest brands are links to user-generated content
